Partners and Education

As a teaching hospital, VAMC Fayetteville provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research.

Academic Partners

Fayetteville VAMC is affiliated with the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. The VAMC provides a training environment through (51) separate affiliation agreements with different colleges and universities. Clinical training is provided for physicians, nurses, psychologists, medical students, chaplains, dentists, audiologists, speech pathologists, etc.

Veterans Service Organizations

VAMC Fayetteville maintains a good working relationship with all of our veteran service organization (VSO) partners. We regularly brief our VSO representatives on changes impacting veterans' health care.

A Veterans Advisory Council (VAC) has been established which includes stakeholders from a number of veterans groups. The VAC meets quarterly.

US Department of Defense

As a participant in the US Department of Defense TRICARE Program*, VAMC Fayetteville serves as the main referral source for women's health and orthopedic specialty appointments.
