Information

There are two PGY1 residency positions available. Pharmacy residents are based at the Fayetteville VAMC in Fayetteville, NC. We offer a customized experience for the selected residents. There are learning opportunities scheduled in geriatrics, psychiatry, inpatient medicine, and ambulatory care, as well a residentrun clinic treating diabetics and patients with hyperlipidemia. 

Various other disease state management opportunities are available to include anticoagulation, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and smoking cessation. Other opportunities such as pediatrics are available via site sharing.

Salary & Benefits

The annual stipend is approximately $42,000. Benefits include accrued annual and sick leave (13 days each), 10 paid federal holidays, and a health care benefits package. Full funding for conferences such as ASHP Midyear and SERC is provided (registration, lodging, and travel). The residents’ large, dedicated workroom provides a quiet, personal workspace with refrigerator and microwave.
