FVAMC moves Emergency Room for renovation project

March 17, 2011

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville VA Medical Center's Emergency Department has moved to the former Alpha Clinic area so the current ED area can undergo a renovation project.
The current ER entrance will be closed as part of the renovation project, with the current outpatient entrance becoming the new ER entrance.  Valet parking will remain at its current location outside the outpatient entrance for the time being.

Renovations to the Emergency Department are expected to take about one year to complete.  When done, the area will have 10 beds as opposed to the five there now, allowing providers to treat more patients at any given time.  The project will also enhance patient privacy and allow for better patient monitoring and safety.
