VA Vows to Leave No Veteran Behind Public Service Announcement

Note: The Fayetteville VA Medical Center is hosting a special event Oct. 12 to kickoff the Department of Veterans Affairs Homeless Veterans Outreach Campaign. We will be providing medical screenings, benefits counseling and enrollment opportunities, and will provide lunch and entertainment for homeless Veterans or those at risk of becoming homeless. We appreciate any help in getting this message out to the people who can benefit most from it.
VA Vows to Leave No Veteran Behind
WHEN YOU JOIN THE MILITARY, YOU TAKE AN OATH TO NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN COMRADE ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE. TODAY, THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS IS MAKING THAT SAME PROMISE TO OUR VETERANS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE HOMELESS OR AT RISK OF BECOMING HOMELESS.
THE FAYETTEVILLE VA MEDICAL CENTER IS HOSTING A SPECIAL EVENT WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12 AT THE NORTH CAROLINA VETERANS PARK AND FESTIVAL PARK IN FAYETTEVILLE TO KICKOFF THE VA'S HOMELESS VETERANS OUTREACH CAMPAIGN. SERVICES THAT WILL BE PROVIDED FOR HOMELESS VETERANS AT FESTIVAL PARK INCLUDE HEALTH, VISION AND DENTAL SCREENINGS, VA ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITIES, VA BENEFITS COUNSELING, AND THE CHANCE TO TALK WITH COMMUNITY AND FAITH BASED ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE PARTNERING TO HELP THE VA REACH ITS GOAL OF ENDING HOMELESSNESS AMONG VETERANS BY 2015. FOOD, CLOTHING AND ENTERTAINMENT WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED.
FESTIVAL PARK IS LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF ROWAN AND RAY STREETS IN FAYETTEVILLE.
