VA & Camp Lejeune Work Together, Process USMCRs in Wilmington

“More than 1,000 Reservists to attend”
Marine Corps Reservists will be called upon to attend the Individual Ready Reserve Muster (IRR) and Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA) events to be held at the Wilmington Convention Center on January 12.
Representatives from Camp Lejeune and the Fayetteville VA Medical Center will be set up to help process Marine Corps personnel during the IRR and PDHRA events held at the Wilmington Convention Center located on 515 Nutt Street, Wilmington, NC, 28401 on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. T
he medical center outreach team will include clinical health care specialists, nurse educators and support staff from Health Care Benefits, Suicide Prevention, Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn, Rural Health Outreach and local Vet Centers.
Muster partners from Camp Lejeune will include representatives from the Marine for Life Program, Reserve Component Liaison to USMCR, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Employment Transition Coordinator and Hero2Hired.
The VA Medical Center will also provide eligibility and enrollment specialists to discuss VA health care benefits and accept Veterans’ applications on site. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork) and last year’s financial information to expedite the application process.
