VA Rural Health Team Coming To Clinton, NC – Sept. 8

Veterans in Clinton, NC can enroll in the VA health care system, receive health information, and find out about various services available to them through the Veterans Health Administration from representatives of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center on Sept. 8, 2012.
The VA Rural Health Team will be set up following the 43rd Annual Coharie Indian Cultural Pow-Wow, located at the Coharie Tribal Grounds, 7531 North US Hwy 421, Clinton, NC, 28328 on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The annual Coharie Indian Cultural Pow-Wow event starts at 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the same location.
Representatives from the Fayetteville VAMC Rural Health Team will be available to discuss resources available to Veterans. An eligibility and enrollment specialist will be on-hand to discuss VA health benefits and accept Veterans’ enrollments on site. Information on mental health and women’s health services will also be available. Anyone who served in the U.S. military is invited to attend the event. Veterans are highly encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork) and last year’s financial information to expedite enrollment in the system.
