VA Rural Health Team Coming To Whiteville, NC on July 25

Veterans in the Whiteville community can enroll in the VA health care system, receive health information, and find out about various services available to them through the Veterans Health Administration from representatives of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center.
The Fayetteville VA Medical Center’s Rural Health Program, Mobile Vet Center and the Winston Salem Regional Office Outreach Team will provide VA information and services at the Veterans’ Health Enrollment and Benefits Event at the Vietnam Veterans of America Building, 1028 South Madison Street, Whiteville, N.C., on July 25, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Veterans, their family members and survivors who have questions or need assistance with VA benefits are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. The Rural Health team provides health care education and registration. The VA Regional Office answers claims questions, provides benefits information and offers eBenefits sign-up. The Mobile Vet Center provides counseling and support services for combat Veterans.
Anyone who served in the U.S. military is invited to attend the event. Veterans are highly encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork) and last year’s financial information to expedite enrollment in the system.
