“Fayetteville Family Justice Center Hosts Open House”
Veterans in Cumberland County can enroll in the VA health care system, receive health information and find out about various services available to them by the Fayetteville VA Medical Center Rural Health Outreach team on Dec. 12.
The medical center’s rural health team will set up at the Fayetteville Family Justice Center Open House event located at 519 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301, on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The rural health team consists of a nurse educator and health care specialists who can provide information on diabetes management, controlling hypertension and cholesterol levels, women’s health care, mental health services and other specialized programs available to Veterans. An eligibility and enrollment specialist will be on-hand to discuss VA health benefits and accept Veterans’ enrollments on site.
Anyone who served in the U.S. military is invited to attend the event. Veterans are highly encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork) and last year’s financial information to expedite enrollment in the system.
