Fayetteville VA Coastal Health Care System
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set for Brunswick County VA Clinic
July 28, 2011
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville VA Medical Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Brunswick County Outreach Clinic Monday, August 8 at 1 p.m.
Daniel Hoffmann, director of the VA's Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network, will join U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre, Fayetteville VAMC Director Elizabeth Goolsby and other dignitaries in dedicating the new facility, with tours provided after the ceremony.
The clinic, located at 20 Medical Campus Drive, will provide primary care services for Brunswick County Veterans. Veterans who need specialty services will still be seen at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center for that care.
The clinic is also operating under the new Patient Aligned Care Team system. PACT aligns patients under a health care team that includes a provider, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse and a medical administration specialist. The patient gets to know their team and the team gets to know the patient's needs, allowing for a better overall health care experience.
The new clinic allows local Veterans better access to the quality health care that they need and deserve. The Fayetteville VA Medical Center also operates clinics in Hamlet, Robeson County, Jacksonville and Wilmington, N.C., with another planned to open in Wayne County in 2012.
