Fayetteville VA Hosts Deployed Recognition Program for OIF/OEF/OND Veteran Employees

More than sixty-one Veteran employees honored
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) will host a Deployed Recognition Program for Veteran employees who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation New Dawn (OND) after November 11, 1998 at the medical center on Tuesday, July 31.
The program will begin with a Remembrance Service by U.S. Army Forces Command Chaplain Robert Phillips at 10:00 a.m. in the medical center chapel. The chapel service is open to all. A recognition program will start at 11:00 a.m. in the medical center auditorium with music by the U.S. Army Ground Forces Band Brass Quintet and certificate presentations. Following the presentations, an employee luncheon will be highlighted with a slide show featuring photos from Veterans deployment and military service.
“This is a unique opportunity to honor and thank our Veteran employees who deployed and continue to serve their country as Veterans serving Veterans,” said Elizabeth Goolsby, Fayetteville VAMC director.
