Fayetteville VA Medical Center Welcomes Neuropsychologist

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) welcomes a new Mental Health Neuropsychologist to provide quality mental health care services to Veterans.
Dr. Sherry Thrasher joined Fayetteville VAMC as a Neuropsychologist in Mental Health on August 13, 2012. As a Neuropsychologist, Dr. Thrasher provides neuropsychological evaluations to Veterans with epilepsy, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders. In addition to neuropsychological assessment, Dr. Thrasher also provides general psychological assessments.
Dr. Thrasher received her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, Atlanta, Georgia, in 2008. She completed her internship at the Atlanta VAMC and her fellowship in Neuropsychology at Yale University Medical School, Department of Neurosurgery.
Her experience includes working at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation from 2011-2012, as a Neuropsychologist for both acute and long-term inpatient rehabilitation units. Dr. Thrasher was recently named to the Wall of Outstanding Alumni by LaGrange College for distinguishing herself in her chosen profession and in her community.
