AF Commander to Speak at Memorial Day Ceremony

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Col. Merle D. Hart, commander of the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Field, N.C., will be the guest speaker for the Fayetteville VA Medical Center's annual Memorial Day observance.

The ceremony will be Friday, May 27 at 11 a.m. in the hospital's third floor auditorium.  The public is invited to the event.

Colonel Hart commands 1,400 Air Force Reserve members and 400 full-time civilians at the former Pope Air Force Base.  The wing uses their C-130 aircraft to support airborne and special forces units at Fort Bragg.
